About Karen

Hi. I'm Karen. The founder of ScreenWish.

I'm a writer. I always have been a writer. Ever since seventh grade when I one a contest for writing and it got published in the local newspaper. (Clearly, I was a prodigy.)  

Most of my life I have been a scientist and and educator. My research has been published and shared across the globe. I've invented methods that prevent, diagnose and treat disease, including cancerous tumors. I also co-own a medical school that I founded in 2007.

In my spare time I have been a songwriter and music producer. I started a record label in 2012 called Sorella Entertainment. I published an award winning album in that is performed and co-written by, the amazing and wickedly talented, Holley McCreary. One of our songs made it to the Top 40 above Adele a few years ago. That was a fun three weeks. Check out our song "Soar." I wrote it for my beautiful son and Dolly Parton is currently considering it for her next album to be released in the spring.

I love music and medicine, but realized that a writer, producer, director and movie maker, I can combine my skills for the big screen, while promoting others like me who have stories that need to be told.
